Situated in South Delhi, richly wooded park featuring pond, walking paths, picnic place and ancient tombs. You can see youngsters and teenagers hanging out here. Its a perfect place for bringing your family for picnic and morning / evening walk. Due to the proximity to Hauz Khas village, Rose Garden and Deer park, people are always here and there are lot many things to see here. This is also a paradise for shooting still photos and Videos.

It is spread over 95.55 acres, managed by DDA and has free parking space as well. The park is a well maintained park. It is a idol park for families, singers, musicians, nature lovers

Many movies shooting happened here like Hrithik Roshan & Priti Zinta’s Lakshay and many others as well.

There is a physical fitness area where you can see people doing exercises in Morning and evening. Lots of local people comes here for their morning walk.

Things to see in this Park:

Huge Pond/Lake: The center of attraction is this huge pond. Originally it was a tank which was build by Allauddin Khilji for the residents of his capital “Siri”. You can see ducks and other birds as well.

Hauz Khas Fort: It is mostly occupied with Youngsters, Couples. You can see and hear people singing with their instruments and clicking photos.

Munda Gumbad: It was build during the period of Khilji and was supposed to be two storey, now only one storey is remaining and it has four sides and four staircase.

Nursery: District park nursery has locally grown plants. It does provide compost and organic compost.

How to Reach:

District Park is approachable from Hauz Khas village, Deer Park, RK Puram. Nearest Metro station is RK Puram which is walk able. Free Parking available near RK Khanna Tennis Stadium.
